NORWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2019--
Analog
Devices, Inc. today announced that it has been ranked #17 in the
Corporate Knights 2019 list of the 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in
the World. This is the third consecutive year that ADI has risen on the
list, having ranked #42 in 2018 and #78 in 2017.
“We are delighted to be recognized once again for our strong commitment
to economic, environmental, governance, and social sustainability,” said
Vincent Roche, President and CEO, Analog Devices. “At ADI, we have long
prided ourselves in setting increasingly ambitious goals in these areas
and driving aggressively to meet and exceed them across our global
footprint.”
The 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World annual list is
compiled by Corporate Knights, a Canada-based media and investment
research firm focused on clean capitalism. More than 7,500 global
corporations with annual revenue of more than US$1 billion were
assessed, and ranking is based on 21 key performance metrics covering
resource management, employee management (including leadership
diversity), supplier performance, and clean revenue. The clean revenue
metric, which was introduced in last year’s ranking and now counts for
50 percent of each company’s score, measures the percentage of revenues
earned from products or services that have environmental, or
well-defined social benefits.
For ADI, sustainability means being aware of the larger role the company
plays in the environments and ecosystems created by its diverse array of
technologies, customers, and end markets. The company pursues a business
model and practices that enable innovation-driven growth, benefits
for all its stakeholders – employees, customers, investors, partners,
and communities – and good stewardship of its resources.
